Our hens are truly free ranging and go back to their various coops in the evening. The Egg Mobile, Chick Shed and Free Range Rover are our coops, sometimes housing up to 100 hens, plus a few roosters to help protect from predators. The Free Range Rover is moved around the pastures after the cattle to spread the manure. The yolks are a dark orange and very delicious-not your ordinary factory farm egg! Eggs are available for $6.00 per dozen on site at the Farm and at the Markets listed on the Home page. Bowers Farm has several small gardens. We practice organic methods with our vegetables and herbs. No pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers here! Our vegetables and herbs are available seasonally and are available on-site at the Farm and at the Farmer's Markets when there is a surplus.
